Day of Serious Savings! 10/2/11

Today I headed out and ran a few errands to see how good of a deal I could score with the new coupons from today.  I bought 4 papers today since there were a total of 6 inserts this week.

If you haven't bought papers today you need to go out a get one, or two,....or four :)

CVS Transaction #1

Began the week with $8 ECB from last week, $2 ECB from the I'm Not a Money Trasher Promotion, and $7.50 from my summer spending for a total of $17.50!

1 Garnier Fructis Conditioner @ 3.75 (buy $15 of Garnier, receive $5 ECB- for some reason mine was only $3 but the ad says $5- if I would have noticed while I was there I could have found out why)

1 Reach Double Pack touthbrushes $3.99 (used $2 off printable coupon from Wal-Mart- good at any store) Received $2 ECB

1 Reach Toothbrush $3.99 (used $2 off printable coupon from Wal-Mart- good at any store) Received $2 ECB

2 Oral-B Battery Powered Toothbrushes $5.99 (used 2 $3 coupons from P&G 10/2)

Total Out of Pocket $3.75 for $43.02 worth of products for a savings of 91%!

CVS Transaction #2

Began with $4, $3 and $2 ECBs

5 bags of Pretzel M&Ms on sale for $2.50 each (used 5 $1 off coupons from 9/11 RP) Plus used the $4 and $3 ECB

Total Out Pocket $.54 for $19.95 worth of product for a savings of 97%!

Received a $5 ECB plus have and unused $2 from previous transaction

Walgreens Transaction

Began the day with $5 in RR from the Quattro razor blades last week

1 Finesse Shampoo $1.99 (used $1 coupon from Sept Issue of All You)

1 Oral-B Battery Powered Toothbrush $5.99 (used $3 coupon from 10/2 P&G)

1 Cepacol throat lozenges $2.99 

Total Out of Pocket $1.97 for $12.97 Worth of products for a savings of 85%

Received $3 RR for Cepacol

Wal-Mart Transaction

I love being able to get overage at Wal-Mart because I can use it towards items that I don't normally have coupons for.

8 Cover Girl Blush @ $3.74 each (used 4 $8 off of 2 face products from 10/2 P&G)

1 bottle distilled water $.83

1 package cheesecloth $1.97

Total Out of Pocket $.72 for $32.72 worth of product for a savings of 98%
